Please join Ellen Niedringhaus and Sam Rice at the Maya Tulum Retreat & Spa Resort for a week of asana and mindfulness practices in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Our hope is to provide a retreat that leaves you feeling connected to YOU through the healing energy of Mother Ocean and the power of these traditional practices. Each day will include a 3-hour asana practice, in addition to mantra, pranayama, and meditation. The afternoons will be free for exploring all that Tulum has to offer.
Retreat rates include the following: • Accommodations in elegant thatched roof cabanas for six nights • All service fees and taxes • 3 authentic fresh Mexican meals each day, including flavorful vegetarian meals and locally sourced seafood options, starting with dinner on the night of arrival (May 6th) and ending with breakfast on the day of departure (May 12th). • 1-hour of morning contemplation practices each day with Ellen and Sam • 3-hour asana practice each day with Ellen and Sam • Oceanfront meditation labyrinth • Afternoons and Evenings free to spend time resting and restoring in anyway that is nourishing to you. Explore the local ruins, ride bikes, play, swim, read, journal, nap, shop, and discover new and delicious flavors at some of the amazing local restaurants. * Not included in retreat rate: • Airfare and transportation to/from the airport. Please organize transportation with Maya Tulum Resort and Spa. Tulum is rich with history and natural wonders. If keeping busy is your style, there is so much to do! The following are just a few of the additional ways to truly enjoy your stay: • Mayan Ruins • Caves and Cenotes (A cenote is a fresh water sink-hole or cavern pool.) • Snorkeling • Temezcal Ceremony (Sweat Lodge) • Spa • Watch Caguama turtles make the trek up the deserted beaches to nest. A 50% deposit will be due when you sign up for the retreat, and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. About the Retreat Leaders: Ellen Niedringhaus Ellen has been a student of yoga since her transformative first class in 2003. A teacher for over 10 years, she has co-owned BlueBird Yoga since its opening in 2011. Practice plays a significant role in her life—on many levels. It is her joy and honor to share what she knows, to offer what she’s learned, and to grow alongside this amazing community. When she’s not busting a move on her mat, she’s playing with her kids, dating her husband, and generally raising hell. Sam Rice Sam Rice, E-RYT500, is a dedicated student and practitioner of yoga first and foremost. This fuels her passion for teaching. Sam is known for her diligent and detailed alignment instructions, delivered with great skill, passion, and humor, offering students the opportunity to find renewed depth in practice. She teaches classes, workshops, and teacher trainings both locally and nationally. |
