Yoga, Meditation and Trekking in the Heart of the Himalayas

Schedule:
Day 1: Arrival in Chandigarh, India
Alexandra, Sam, and/or a guide will meet and greet you at the airport IXC (Chandigarh International Airport). From there, you will be transferred to your hotel accommodation for an overnight stay in Chandigarh, India.
Day 2: Drive from Chandigarh to Manali
After breakfast at the hotel, we will drive to Manali. The trip will take 6-7 hours to reach Manali. Upon arrival in Manali, we will check into the hotel. There will be an opportunity for free time. There will be a short orientation talk. In the evening, we will meet at the yoga shala, where there will be a talk about yoga and meditation. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel.
Day 3: Yoga, Meditation, and Short Trek
7am Yoga, Pranayama, and asana practice for 2 hours. Breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast, a guided walk to Jogney Falls. Jogney Falls are beautiful waterfalls about an hour walk along the wall of the valley from Vashisht. These falls descend from high above and run into the Beas River below. In the evening, there will be a meditation class. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel.
Day 4: Yoga, Meditation, and Temple Visit
7am Yoga, Pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours. Breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast, visit the village of Goshal, Old Manali, and the beautiful Hadimba Temple. Hadimba temple is about one km from Manali - it is very old and surrounded by the tall cedar pine trees on the edge of Dhungri village. According to legends, Bhima, one of the Pandava brothers, fell in love with an aboriginal woman named Hadimba, the sister of the local chief by the name of Hadimba and married her. In your own time you can take a rickshaw back to Vashisht. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel. In the evening, we will take a meditation class after dinner.
Day 5: Yoga, Meditation and Explore Villages Life
7am Yoga, Pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours. Breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast you will have the opportunity to take a walk to Villages. We will walk up along the valley to three distinct villages that dot along the Beas River. We will visit the villages of Burwa, Shanag and Goshal, and stop for tea at a local family house. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel. In the evening, we will take a meditation class either before or after dinner.
Day 6: Trek to Jungle Camp
After an early breakfast, there will be a drive to Kulang Village from Vashisht, to the trailhead from where the trek starts. The trek will take approximately four hours to reach the Jungle Camp. On your arrival at camp, you are welcomed with a hot lunch. In the evening, we will enjoy Pranayama, and meditation. Dinner in Camp and Night in a tent .
Day 7: Trek to Bhrigu Lake or Pandurupa
After an early breakfast we will head to Bhrigu Lake, which is about a 7 to 8 hour trek, and spend some time by this holy lake. If you prefer to not go for a long trek you can go to Pandurupa which is approximately 3 hours from camp, or you can stay in camp to relax. Dinner and a campfire. Night in a tent.
Day 8: Trek to Vashisht
We will enjoy a yoga class in the Jungle camp, and have brunch before we trek back to Vashisht, which takes around 3 to 4 hours. We will take breaks along the way. On your arrival in Vashisht, you can take a hot water bath. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel.
Day 09: Yoga and Free Visit
7am Yoga, Pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours. Breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast you will have free time to relax, enjoy the hot springs, schedule a massage or do a little exploring on your own. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel.
Day 10: Yoga and Visit Naggar Castle
7am Yoga, Pranayama and asana practice for 2 hours. Breakfast at 9:30am. After breakfast, we will drive to Naggar to visit Naggar castle, Roerich art gallery, and Krishna temple. Farewell and Closing Circle. Dinner and Night in the Open Lotus family house or hotel.
Day 11: Drive from Manali to Chandigarh
We will drive to Chandigarh. The trip will take 6-7 hours to reach Chandigarh. Upon arrival in Chanigarh, we will check into the hotel. There will be the opportunity for free time. Night in the hotel.
Day 12: Transfer to airport for your flight onward
Transfer from your hotel accommodation to the airport IXC (Chandigarh International Airport)
Please Note:
Anyone who doesn’t want to go trekking can stay in the family house and visit and explore around Manali on their own.
The itinerary for trekking will be changed as per weather conditions.
